Riyaz is the founder of the Recording Heritage Network.  On his website he writes--"Architectural heritage is at risk and is disappearing at an alarming rate. Many sites have deteriorated or disappeared, and many more are vulnerable.  Low-cost recording methods require only a digital camera, computer with internet connectivity and ability to visit the heritage site."

In Haiti there are many sites which need to be documented.  Although ISPAN, the National Institute for Historic Preservation has made heroic efforts to document the monumental and high culture environmental artifacts, the many vernacular "Kreyol" sites and buildings throughout the country demand a broader scale effort, which can perhaps be done most effectively (and appropriately) by ordinary Haitian citizens.
